Do you have a story that needs telling? We can help you with that.

Finally finished our Press Kit.

We've been working on getting this together for a while, and it's finally done. We'll be tweaking it as we continue through the festival run, but for all you lovely members of the press and festival programmers, this hopefully will make your jobs a little easier.

Phoenix Film Festival Debrief

Gonna try and keep this short...it was an epic fest. The 2015 Phoenix Film Festival was seriously an INCREDIBLE experience. Our world premiere screening played to a SOLD OUT audience. There were ooohs and ahhhs and uproarious applause. Couldn't have asked for a better kickoff to our festival run.

Our shorts block, Live Action Shorts A, including some spectacular films. It's always an honor to be included alongside both old and new friends of such incredible talent. The block included:

Contrapelo by Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer

Muse by Christopher Leps

Lucid by Kevin K. Shah

Wild and Precious by Cusi Cram

Truckin' by Diane Newman

Protocol by Elliot Feld

After the initial screening was under our belt, the movie-watchiing and hanging out began. Having the chance to reconnect with old Phoenix Festival friends like Paul Osborne and Scott Storm was incredible. I could write about it for days, but best to just do a big photo dump and let the images and captions tell the story.

Huge thanks to all the festival staff and volunteers. We're honored to have had the chance to premiere at such a wonderful festival. You'll always hold a dear place in our hearts and you've set the bar quite high for the festivals to come as we continue our run. Next up, NASHVILLE

Sound Mixing with Bobby

"Just wrapped a great day sound mixing for "Daddy's Little Girl" with the handsome @bobby_holland. We're so close to done, I can taste it! #filmmaking"

We've just wrapped day two of ADR and Sound-mixing over at the great Bobby Holland's studio over at The Pentavarit in Berry Hill. Robin-August came back in to do some additional work, and crushed it as usual. Exciting news next week, friends, we're rolling along.

First Fest submissions!

"#sheboygan"

Here we go, folks...it's that time. We are still finalizing the sound mix and color, but I holed up in the spectacular Weather Center Cafe while vacationing to see family in the Sheboygan snow to finalize an edit that's good enough to submit to Phoenix and Nashville before their impending deadlines. Keep your fingers crossed, kids, we're doing it!

Testing Phoenix submission DVD on my In-Laws old CRT TV. The film is actually much creepier on this set.

Sound Design!

"This is getting out of hand. #cameraguysoundguy #filmmaking #byanymeansneccessary"

Post-Production has halted over the past few months...there's been some unexpected waiting for different elements needed to finalize the picture. One of those has been sound design. In an effort to get this done in time to submit to some of the spring festivals (namely Phoenix and Nashville), yours truly has begun tacking the problem head on!

fter a couple trips to Trew Audio here in Nashville, and some ambient sound gathering trips to Radnor Lake State Park, I think we're looking pretty great. Sound design is tough, but thankfully I've paid attention to my great sound guys on set in the past...I think I'm getting the hang of it. Wish me luck, you wonderfully wonderful people, you!

"Lookout y'all, someone's playing sound man and barely knows what he's doing. #filmmaking #sounddesign #byanymeansneccessary"

Shooting the Miniature in Studio

"Miniature intro, take 2. #setlife. With @damicophoto and Scott Phelps."

Finally shooting the miniature! You can see our beautiful Gaffer extraordinaire tweaking the lighting in the photo above. Big thanks to Kris D'Amico for helping out on this shot, and to Westlight Studio for the spectacular space. And to the wonderfully talented Kate Kilcoyne for standing in for our lead Robin-August. Now the real meat and potatoes post can start!

Miniature Building for the DLG Intro

"Late-night building something."

"Playing with miniatures today. #filmmaking #camdolly @methrovat"

Trista and I have been working these past few weeks on this miniature to use for the DLG intro. Today my gaffer Scott Phelps, myself, and some other crew got together to do some quick testing to finalize the look. Hope to secure some studio time in the next couple weeks to finally shoot this bad boy.

I love seeing everyone come together on a project like this. We all have our own lives and work that needs to be done, but when crazy talented friends join in and give all they have for a passion project like this, well, it's an amazing to behold and be a part of. This little film is bit by bit, weekend by weekend, getting put together.

Bear With Me Chugs along.

"It's been real @deadcenter, you're amazing. So many great films and so many fast friends made that I hope will last for years to come. See y'all again..."

Just got back from Oklahoma City and the deadCenter Film Festival. Was such a blast, but it's time to hit the ground running on finishing Daddy's Little Girl. We have a couple additional scenes to shoot. Excited to get the post-production ball rolling again.

Gathering Props

Working on getting on some special prop books for this short we're shooting this weekend. Really excited about this one!

"Gathering props and ephemera for the short we're shooting this Saturday. #preproduction"

"Some Arts & Crafts today at Crema. #preproduction."
